The language of the conference is English.

 

Funding

The conference is supported by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange under the task assigned by the Ministry of Education and Science Republic of Poland Solidarity with Ukraine - European Universities.

 

Each participant representing a YUFE university or one of the three Ukrainian partner-universities can be awarded a grant to finance their stay in Toruń. The number of travel grants is limited.

 

The funding is 4000 PLN (around 930 EUR) per person to cover participants' travel and subsistence costs (accommodation/meals). The money will be paid to participants after arriving in Toruń. We will not require any financial reports, invoices, receipts, etc.

Accomodation 
 
We don't provide nor reserve accommodation for participants, but we may help you find the right place to stay. Suggested places for accomodation:
 
  • 200–300 PLN per night
  • Located in the Old Town in historic buildings dating from the 14th to the 16th century; a few minutes' walk from tram and bus stops, from which there is direct access to the conference venue.
Hotel Mercure
  • 220–460 PLN per night
  • Big, chain hotel located just outside the Old Town but in close proximity; right next to tram stops (direct connection to the conference venue).

Hotel Spichrz

  • 370 - 550 per night
  • Located in the Old Town, in beautiful historical buildings right next to the city walls; they also have a very good restaurant specialising in traditional Polish cuisine; on offer both single rooms and suites; a few minutes' walk from public transport stops.

Hotel Copernicus

  • From 520 PLN per night
  • A large, modern hotel slightly distant from the busy streets of the Old Town (still - within a few minutes' walk to the centre); they also have a spa and run an excellent restaurant

University Hotel

  • 110-160 PLN per night
  • Very good value for money, but troublesome location (at a distance from both the Old Town and the University)
Hotel Eter
  • From 430 PLN
  • Small hotel consisting of two parts - historic and modern, located on the outskirts of the Old Town; on the ground floor - a very good restaurant (Esencja)

Orange Hostel

  • 100–150 PLN per night. 
  • A hostel in the old town that offers individual and group rooms; located 900 metres away from Toruń Miasto Train Station. It has free Internet (Wi-Fi), a fully equipped kitchenette and free coffee and tea (24 hours a day).

Hostel Freedom

  • 120–150 PLN per night 
  • Located in a historic building, 40 meters from the Town Hall. Free WiFi is available on site; provides tea/coffee making facilities for guests.
  • From 150 PLN per night
  • Accommodation in 2, 3 and 4 bed rooms with TV. Guests have at their disposal a kitchen equipped with a fridge, microwave oven, induction hob, kettle, dishwasher, plates, cutlery, pots and a frying pan. etc. There is a dining room in the property.
